Drafted with the 14th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, rookie safety Kyle Hamilton is making his impact felt on defense. While the Notre Dame standout still has a lot to learn about the NFL, teammate and veteran cornerback Marcus Peters doesn’t mind taking Hamilton under his wing.

“He’s going to be an excellent player in this league,” Peters said, “I just keep telling the young man, ‘Play fast. You play fast, and you don’t worry about everything else.”

Kyle Hamilton has already made big plays this season. For example, against the New England Patriots, the Ravens rookie safety knocked the ball out of Patriots receiver Nelson Agholor’s hand to force a fumble that Peters would recover.

“Plays, he’s going to keep making them.” Peters would go on to add. “His body type is out of this world, and he loves football, so that’s all that matters.”

To go along with his first career forced fumble in Week 3, Hamilton has racked up ten tackles, six of them solos, along with one pass-defended. Hamilton can also expect Peters to remind him how to approach each contest.

“Just keep playing fast and enjoy the game.”
